You should listen to the soundtrack of donkey kong country tropical freeze, its really good with how each piece in it has it's own unique feel to it to also match the game in how alien each world feels for the series.

I have a very old suggestion, in 1990's a game came out called Golden Sun: The Lost Age and there is a piece there for the two protagonists Karst and Agatio. I loved this piece as it gets intense but also brings it back down and pulls you back in again like it hits harder each time you hear cycle come through.

Love this music. The harpys definitely have the siren song skill. And I love how the main theme (martial) & the romantic piece, Down By the River, being the same melody just really demonstrates how arrangements can change a song - if the music's melody, lyrics & instrumentation are brilliantly done. I am so glad the composer won the Best Music Award.

I REALLY hope nobody has suggested this yet, but go listen to Trepang2's ost. The metal, the emotionality, the weight of it, it's just amazing. Some of my favorite tracks: -DDOS -GACK -Complexity -Stylish -Horizon Hail Mary -Waterworks -Patty But they're all good. Don't take my word for it either - go check it out. You will NOT be dissapointed.

He was absolutely right about the extraction music sounding like a "Last Stand" form of music style which it is EXACTLY THAT. When you're now suddenly faced against multiple groups of a Rocket variant Hulks leading a patrol of other rocket devastators and 2 Factory Striders all encroaching onto your extraction zone while you're there putting to use every support strategem you've called in before your Destroyer ships has left orbit. Fighting against LITERAL BULLET and ROCKET HELL for your life just to make a run to the extraction zone once you hear in your comms "Pelican-one approaching landing zone, steer clear". And once you do extract, the ending music just feels like the good ending to a very long and intense movie... This is TRULY the game of A L L T I M E 1:05:38

The 'Explosion' sound in the beginning of 'He is the Light in my Darkness' is actually the sound of a Ferry (a ship) rising straight above the waters inside of the ULTRAKILL level 'Waves of the Starless Sea' out of the River Styx in the wrath layer of hell also being present

Could we get reactions to the theme songs created by Calamity Mod's new composer, CDMusic? So far there are 5 of them, but he will make 1 more. It is unknown when. They are part of the official soundtrack and would complement the complete picture of this musical adventure perfectly. They include, in chronological order: 1. Ensemble of Fools 2. Onslaught of Beasts 3. Reign of Lords 4. Trial of the Insane 5. Signal Recieved. (6? If Hakita , the creator of ultrakill asked you to do a song for them would you do it ? Also the "he is the light that shines in my darkness" is a Bible reference where it is said "he is the light that shines in the darkness" referencing to God being the Light and the hope , and that is pretty well chosen since the boss that is supposed to be here is the ferryman who is a husk (sinner in hell) who became upranked by Gabriel (one of the angels in ultrakill) because they were becoming holy and had things covering him that were white given by the angels , those emit bright light which goes well with the title . It is not dramatic but really good since they still have hope , also it sounds a bit oceanic during the first 1 minute because he's quite literally called a ferryman and is the leader of a boat
